Hello everyone! My name is Roman Antel and I run Spektra Driving Academy, a boutique driving school in the Czech Republic focused on helping expats get their driving licence with confidence. Spektra Driving Academy offers premium, English-friendly driving lessons tailored to foreigners who need support with local driving rules, traffic regulations and Czech paperwork. The goal is to make every student feel safe, informed and comfortable on Czech roads through clear communication in English and a highly personal approach.

Every student speaks directly with the instructor from the first inquiry, with the option to meet for coffee at a favorite café to discuss expectations, previous driving experience and the ideal training plan. Throughout the entire process—from the initial consultation, through all theory lessons and practical driving sessions, to preparation for the final driving exam—the training is built on a friendly, equal partnership. Meet Your Instructor
My name is Roman Antel, a certified driving instructor and driving school teacher with a passion for delivering top-tier training for new and experienced drivers. At 45 years old, I bring a wealth of real-world experience from my 15-year career with the elite unit of the Czech Police, where I was deployed on international peacekeeping missions in the Balkans and the Middle East. These demanding conditions have equipped me to provide professional, high-level instruction focused on safety, confidence, and precise vehicle control — a significant advantage compared to many other driving schools.
Having worked in international teams, I have developed strong empathy, patience, and perspective, allowing me to understand and respond to the unique needs of clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and with different levels of driving experience. I always strive to find common ground, explain clearly, and communicate effectively. Additionally, I spent four years living in the UK, where I completed training at an English driving school for both category B vehicles and lorries. This international experience has given me a deep understanding of the quality, safety, and professionalism required by Western standards , which I bring to every driving lesson and course.
